Alright… I’m starting to become a serious case of a workaholic because after more than six weeks, I still think that MY. JOB. ROCKS. and I’m like totally devoting myself to it by means of having almost no private life anymore, doing waaaay to few sports etc. But still, it’s the small things about holidays that I love: Staying up until 4 re-watching Scrubs season 1 , getting up around 10:30, finally go running for an hour or so in the sunshine without having had breakfast (yeah you heard right, my stupid belly: the tummy’s gotta go!) and doing so enjoying Munich’s habit of looking incredibly beautiful when it’s getting spring, finally. On top of the “mountain” in the olympic park, I took a few seconds to breathe (had to, otherwise I’d might have passed out 😉 ) and looked around: AWE-to-the-SOME! One could see to roughly a trillion kilometers distance! Sheesh, I love holidays for giving me moments like that.

Half-Marathon: Bäderlauf
Today, my mom and me participated in a half-marathon from Bad Aibling to Bad Feilnbach. I’m not fully pleased with my time of 2:19:49 (and with the fact that my mom was 8 minutes faster 😀 ) but I’m really happy that I did it 🙂
The track lead us through the mindboggingly beutiful landscape and the weather was really nice – maybe a little bit too warm at the beginning. It’s also featured in GoogleMaps. If I’m still in Germany next year, I’ll participate again, promise 😀
Munich city run / 10km
On Sunday I participated in the Munich city run and did the 10 kilometers in 55:50 – not the best time, actually, but I’m still a beginner 😀
Anyways, the run was great, the event was well-planned and everything went smoothly. Even the weather was gracious enough to stop raining for a while 😉 The only thing that sucked is that the photo service they arranged (with those funny-looking badges near the runners throats) is only giving out low-res pictures or (paid) photo-prints…
Japanese intensive course – or yet another era of sleepless nights
Booya! Having started from March 23rd, I’m currently attending a very good (and intensive) Japanese language course which takes place 9 hours a day, 6 days a week until this Saturday. Adding to that, I’ve also started implementing parts of the A.I. of a robot that’s supposed to go to the EuroBot 2009! As cool as all that stuff is, my daily sleep quota dropped to a new record-low around 3.5 hours a day… When I’m not in the classroom,in the robo-lab, in the gym or out running, I’m sitting at my desk spending hours and hours studying, repeating, preparing. *sigh* Well, at least the language course totally rocks 😀
But I’ll be celebrating and sleeping (finally) when it’s over 😉
