Final post from Croatia (kind of)

’nuff said! It was legendary! Thanks Stephan and Vera for the GREAT GREAT GREAT time I had!!!!

More pics from Croatia

Some promised pictures

Because I took so long since my last real post, here are some facts and some pics! First the facts:

  • Moved to the new appartment
  • Had some exhausting weeks at work (but liked it)
  • Went to Croatia for holidays (that’s where I am right now – and maybe I only find the time for posting this because I’m so far away from home, from the job etc. 😉 )

And now, some random pics:

New appartment

This is just a small life sign because I don’t have Internet access at my appartment, because I’m too lazy to set up an Internet connection through my cell phone and because I barely have the time to write at all… 😉

The big move took place on Monday and I’m already “living” at my new place. Well, kind of. I managed to put the pieces of my bed together a few minutes ago so I don’t need to sleep on the floor again – at last. So far, the new appartment could rather be described as alpha version of living: no furniture at all because all the stuff is just lying around on boxes and disassembled pieces (just like my bed used to until earlier this evening)…

But aside from working my ass of at work, I spend as much time as possible setting up everything so you can soon come to visit and envy Christian and me 😀

Pics will be here, too (eventually)!

Electronic job application

This is friggin’ funny: http://www.asofterworld.com/oq-display.php?id=22

Moving and no sunshine for me

Moving is always a great thing to do: You get to look through all your belongings and scan through so many memories. And when you’re done with scanning, you throw away all the useless stuff and only keep the good parts

However, moving can also be a pain in the ass when you don’t have enough time (and money) to prepare/do everything…

And the worst part is yet to come: We finally have a superb summer season here in Munich and I was so looking forward to enjoying the sun as much as possible but I got bitten by some stupid animal. No big deal so far but the swelling and the itching just didn’t go away but got worse and worse every day so I went to the doc’s. He said it might be an infection with Borrelia… So now, I have to take badass antibiotics for at least 21 days and I must avoid direct sunlight!!!! WAAAAAAH 🙁

The last question

It’s a great story from Sir Isaac Asimov and it’s absolutely worth the time reading it: http://www.multivax.com/last_question.html

WPTouch rocks!

As some of you might know, I installed the WPTouch plugin to make the site easier to read on mobile phones. While this is awesome enough to praise it, it now has a very cool feature that allows people to send me free live messages to my phone directly from my site 😎 So if you happen to be reading this from a mobile phone, you can click on the “Message” button at the top to get to a form for sending me instant messages:

TGIF reloaded (at least a little bit)

Yesterday, some colleagues from work and me went to the Hirschgarten and enjoyed way too much food along with the soccer game Chile – Spain. There we also found out that a lighter can be 85% child resistant (look closely):

After the game was over (and it started getting cold, already) we moved to the city and finally ended up in that Australian Bar – the one which always gives me a hard time remembering its name – and found out that you have to be ‘croc-wise’ in croc country (sorry for the crappy pic but that’s the best I managed to take with the iPhone cam):

A thing that i DO miss, actually

As mentioned in an older post (back from the time when I was in Japan and still writing in German), the weather in Japan is really humid and hot during the summer. Back then, I was complaining a little bit about it. However, at the end of my stay there I realized I actually started liking this kind of weather. And when I think about how the summer here in Germany was so far this year… yeah, I have to admit that more sunshine, higher temperatures and all that stuff would be nice 🙂
