Polonaise flashmob in Munich

On April 3rd, a flashmob event took place at the Marienplatz in Munich. I was showing the city to Freddy and Shiho who visited me at that time and we just managed to be there at the right time. Well, we’ve been roughly ten minutes too late, technically, but the start of the flashmob got delayed somehow so in the end, we arrived at the Marienplatz at the very moment the polonaise started 😀

  1. was there any deeper meaning/ message behind that!? like “make love! not war”? or just for fun?

  2. Well, those things usually don’t have any political, religious or whatsoever meaning 🙂 It’s just a bunch of random people who gather somewhere, do something funny and disperse again

  3. Actually, what is a flashmob? Who organizes it? Who benefits from it? Looks funny. Next time, tell me when sth like this is scheduled, so I can send Chiara to spice it up

  4. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

A flash mob (or flashmob) is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and pointless act for a brief time, then quickly disperse. The term flash mob is generally applied only to gatherings organized via telecommunications, social media, or viral emails. The term is generally not applied to events organized by public relations firms, protests, and publicity stunts.

Like I said: No real reason, no political motivation

  5. Jaaaaaa, `s war scho wahnsinnig interessant!
